Purchasing Policy and Procedures
At Diplomatic Gateways, our clients are our top priority - whether business owners, customers or youth. We guarantee that all transactions are private and protected, and that your order will be received when expected.
Security
Diplomatic Gateways takes security very seriously. Our security measures protect the loss, misuse and alteration of all information under our control. All of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
Ordering
Your transactions will be handled quickly and with the utmost discretion. You may place your order 24 hours a day, seven days a week via e-mail, phone or regular mail. Our expert staff will confirm your order during business hours by email almost immediately. If the order is placed after business hours, Monday to Friday after 5:00 pm or on the weekends, your order will be confirmed the morning of the following business day.
Upon confirmation, send us your payment. If you choose to send payment with your order that is fine, as well. When we receive payment for your order, we'll respond by email to let you know when your fully-insured package can be expected.
ALWAYS make checks, money orders or other payment means payable to Diplomatic Gateways. DO NOT make these methods of payment payable to the name of any independent contractor representing or working in conjunction with Diplomatic Gateways, any agent representing Diplomatic Gateways or any Diplomatic Gateways employee.
Payment Options
Payment to Diplomatic Gateways must be provided using a certified check, cashiers check, postal money order or direct wiring of funds. You must with these provide proof of funds letter from your bank. Use of hot checks or other false financial documents puts DG in debt, thus pursuit of the culprits originating such documents is performed to the fullest extent of all applicable law. Instructions for bank wiring will be sent by email along with order confirmation. Payment and proof of funds letter must be dated within the week of your order confirmation, and must be received by us within five business days. Diplomatic Gateways reserves the right to cancel orders that do not meet both these requirements. Diplomatic Gateways does not accept C.O.D. orders and is not yet able to accept credit card payments.
Price Confirmations
Price confirmations are provided by Diplomatic Gateways. We guarantee our quoted price only when a check or money order is dated within the week of the date we confirm a price. Diplomatic Gateways reserves the right to refuse an order when the confirmed price is incorrect, due to either computer-related problems or sudden movements in related markets (i.e. gems or precious metals).
Cancellation of Orders
Your Diplomatic Gateways order will automatically be canceled if we do not receive payment within five business days. Once you have placed a paid order with Diplomatic Gateways, you have entered into a binding agreement. If you cancel your order for any reason, you will be billed 20% of your payment to Diplomatic Gateways plus the cost of returning your funds to you. These costs will be subtracted from your payment and the remaining funds will be returned to you.
Shipment of Your Precious Metals
Shipping, handling and insurance charges are $30.00 plus $3.00 for every gem carat or precious metal ounce. Your order is normally packaged and shipped within 5 days of receipt of your full payment. Delivery can be expected on average within five to ten business days of shipment.
Diplomatic Gateways orders are shipped Registered insured U.S. Mail, Federal Express and UPS. Each package is fully insured and requires a signature upon delivery.
Diplomatic Gateways fully insures all of its shipments. Should anything happen while your package is in transit to you it will be covered by insurance. However, we will not accept responsibility if you have left instructions with any carriers or delivery service to leave parcels un-attended for you without the need for a signature. Or, you have given them instructions to leave your package with someone else. (Your package will not be covered.) When we ship to you, if metals are lost or damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to pursue any claim with the insurance company.
